Fantasy Netball

For years my bloke has been obsessed with NRL Dream Team.

It's where you pick players you want from every League team to make your own 'dream team'. Then, if those players do well in real games, they, and your team overall, get points. You play against other people with dream teams and whomever gets the most points wins (obviously).

He looked forward to it more than anything I can think of. No really, I just thought about it for ages and the only thing he might have looked forward to more is actually playing a game himself. I thought this was stupid. Really, really stupid.

Until I started my very own NETBALL DREAM TEAM! I'm a bit late on the boat - the ANZ Championship is already up to round 11. My team is stacked! I've got some of my favourite players and some newbies who I'll be keeping a close eye on! They'd better perform well this week lol

Blauurrrgh

Definitely how I feel today! How I've felt all week!

BUT I DID go for a run. Hurray! A wee 6km one that wasn't hard but wasn't cruisey either. Some days I cannot believe that I ran a whole 13km. There really is a lot of truth in being mentally prepared for a run. On a day where I haven't planned a route, it's often tempting to take a short one. Luckily I have never really done that - instead I seem to run further than planned! But recently I've hit a plateau with my running (or even a downhill...) and it's not been fun. It results in feeling Bleaaauurgh!

This month I set goals that, in hindsight, were far too ambitious. I should have known that I'd find it difficult to fit in three runs a week along with Netball three times a week. However, I also should have tried much much harder! One run a week is NOT the type of runner I want to be!

I didn't make this picture and I wish I could remember where I got it from! Sorry!
